Leap Day!

I wanted to celebrate Leap day in some way since it comes every 4 years. I kept trying to come up with things and I realized that Tanner is only a year old and he can't really do very much. So instead we decided to make Jiggler Frogs. Only I didn't get enough jello in it for the Jiggler part so they were just Jello frogs.

Yum!

Tanner had fun playing in the jello.

I did buy some of those plastic leaping animals and Dan and Tanner had a race.

When brushing your teeth don't forget to brush the front ones with a circular motion.

Be sure to get the hard to reach back ones,

Laundry Room

Besides getting my upstairs bathroom done I also finished the Laundry room. I still need to get a yellow rug for it but I really liked the way it turned out. It used to be a greenish color. I painted the walls yellow and did the framing white. I hung up my shelf for my line dry items and I got the cupboards from my grandma, and painted them white, and hung them up. It's a good thing Dan helped me hang everything because I kept missing the studs. I guess you just need a stud to find a stud. ;) I also added the curtain and hung up the ironing board. I am so glad to have it all done.

Oh the places I've been......

In March last year my mom and dad took me to Moab to visit my Uncle James (who I am named after- Tanner James Blackburn). He'd been living in Moab all year and it was the first time we got to meet. We hit it off immediately. Uncle James is awesome. We went to Arches National park to look around while Uncle James was at work. It has some really big rocks. Mom forgot to bring a hat for me so she pinned a burp cloth around my head. Yep! I look stylin'.

In June my mom's family got together and went to Bear River Lodge. Grandpa took us on the buggy rides and I got to play with my cousins. My Aunty Em even came to visit from Virginia. I love playing with my cousins. We played all sorts of games and I got lots of attention.

In July my Great Grandma Bonnie got the Lucido family together for a reunion in Colorado. It was the first time I'd met most of their family too. Grandma Bonnie is my Grandma Starlas mom- my dad's mom. We went to Winter Park with my Aunt Krisdee and her family. We also drove up into the mountain to see the continental divide, but the road was blocked so we couldn't make it all the way. In the evenings we sat around listening to Uncle Brent, Uncle Cliff, Brian and Joe play their guitars. We have a musical family. It was a great trip. We even celebrated my mom's birthday in Steamboat Springs. It's one of her favorite places to visit.

In November I went with my mom, Grandma Jan, Logan, Aunt Meena and my Aunt Angies family to Disneyland. That drive was rough- It's a long way to California. But -Wow! Those rides are fun. I loved the airplane ride. I also got to meet Mickey Mouse. I got a little bit shy- I mean look how big he is.

We also went to the beach. I just loved playing in the sand. I didn't like the water so much though.

My most recent vacation was Hawthorn Nevada to visit my cousins who live there and to see my cousin Emma get baptized. That was a long boring drive. It's a good thing for portable DVD players and The Best of Elmo. I had a great time playing with my cousins. I will miss them though. I won't have any cousins to play with on the Blackburn side with Amber and her kids living in Nevada and Krisdee's family moving to Australia. But I am glad we were able to get together for the weekend.

My next vacation will be in April when my mom and dad takes me to Virginia to visit with My Aunty Em and my cousins- Marky, Milly and Buggy. We're also going to DC while where out there. I've heard that is a great place.

My bathroom

This last week I was able to redo my bathroom. It used to be cream with some angel wall paper. I'd been meaning to do it since we moved in and I woke up on Thursday and decided that I wanted to take down the wall paper. I was just on a roll and was able to get it all done. I love it.
