Up Up and Away

Me and Missy in the air.
On Saturday Missy let me go with her on a Hot air balloon ride over Park city. I was a bit nervous but it was so much fun to float in the sky. It took me a minute to be able to even just look straight down.
I had to hold the fan while some other people held the balloon out for the air. After the balloon guide blew some hot air from his propane tank. Once the air changed we had to hurry and jump in the basket so it wouldn't fly away without us.

Here we are up above Park City. It was a really nice morning and wasn't cold at all.

There were 6 other balloons up in the sky that day too.

Thanks Missy for the great morning.

Happy Birthday Dad

Happy birthday Dad
~ August 14th ~
For his birthday we took my Dad, Mom, and Logan to Olive Garden for lunch
It was good ~ Dad seemed to have alot of fun too
Dad loved his new truck for the his shop that Mom and Logan gave him
Dan and I gave dad a garbage can ~ not as exciting but useful

I tried to make a Peaches and Cream bread. It looked fine, but it didn't work out exactly the way I would have liked. But he said that it was good anyway.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Deer Camp

Back Row: Krisde, Mason, Tyson, Brent, Grandpa Dee, Veldon, James, Amber, Dixie, LynnFront Row: Dan, rach, Emma, Travis, Tayli, Sara, Joshy, Tyler, Elias

Grandpa Dee's, Veldon's and Dan's favorite place: Log Canyon otherwise known as the Deer Camp.

Some of Dan's favorite memories while growing up is coming up the Deer camp with his dad and grandpa.

We had lunch, went on a hike to the family tree, Grandpa Dee told us some stories and sang some songs.

Everyone had a great time. It was really nice being in the canyon. The air was crisp and clean.

It was fun listening to James and Dan talk about coming up the -very scary rocky, skinny, canyon road where you could slip and slide all the way down the hill if you aren't care- telling the stories of their memories with Grandpa Dee and his shooting a deer across the canyon, and how Veldon just barely made it up the hill in the snow and told some stranger that if he didn't make it to take his boy down to his parents house in Moroni, and how Dan tried to bring an old girlfriend up the canyon in the snow and getting stuck before his mission and having to walk down the canyon for help.
