Happy Valentines!

We had a great Valentines Day. It was really nice that Dan took the day off. For breakfast I even made heart shaped Sour dough pancakes. I'd never made Sour dough before. Dan and Tanner love them. Every morning Tanner wakes up asking for Pancakes and now I have a whole bunch in the freezer for him. I made a batch for 25 people. It was a lot of batter.

Strawberries and coolwhip - Yum!

After breakfast we took Tanner to Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake. I'd never been there before and didn't realize that it was outside but it wasn't to cold of a day. Tanner thought it was a lot of fun seeing the birds and making bird sounds.

He didn't like that some of the birds could walk right up to him. He wanted Dan to hold him a lot.

Tanner and I got eaten by a Pelican

Getting warm inside the African birdhouse
Tanner loved being in the room. The birds made so much noise.
Learning what sounds each Owl makes

We had a great time seeing all the birds. For lunch we went to China Chef by Dan's work.
For Dinner I thought I would try cooking steaks for the first time. I'd just never learned to BBQ before and my dad gave us this great grill. I love it and the steaks turned out so good.

Tanner just wanted to eat the coolwhip on the jello. He's so funny.

Our Valentines dinner- Steak, Sweet potatoes, heart shaped cucumbers and some orange and grape rainbow layered Jello with some of my Grandpa's rolls and some homemade grape juice from my mom. It was a good.
Happy Valentines. Don't you love that I ate with my apron on? I'm a spiller.
