Counting down to Emy

This is me flying the kids around

Emy's coming. Emy's coming. Yipee! It seems like it's been forever since they've all been here, but it was only in March. Emy and the kids will be here on the 1st and that's just the beginning of the next whirlwind of weeks. So much fun and things to do and get done. Markus is also flying out on the 9th then they will all be leaving around the 20th.

Again it will be jam packed with loads of birthdays. Milly is turning 3 on May 4th and Princess Ada is turning 1 year on the 9th. Then we can't forget about my special guy- Dan he's turning the big 32 on the 17th of May. He said that he wanted to get married before his birthday. I think 2 days before counts.

Things seem to be coming together. I hope-I am getting stuff done, but my brain isn't working that great and I've been kind of snappy with everyone. It's a big deal for me to move and it's been alot of work trying to plan and get things done for a wedding, and get a house in order enough for Dan to be living in it with out a huge mess around and still trying to get some of his sister's families stuff where it needs to go, plus trying to work and helping with Grandmas yard. I haven't done very well at Grandmas. Mom and Jeri have spent alot of time getting the yard ready. It looks great for a couple of days and then it snows all over it. But at least it will be green.

Counting down the days

It looks like Dan and I have a month left before our wedding. Yipee!

Happy Easter

I went to my very first Blackburn Easter party on Saturday. In fact it's actually my very first Blackburn party ever. Dan's family gets together a lot, but it was always on days when I had other things going on. Plus I'd never find out about it until the last minute- so of course I was busy. ;)

It was fun. They have a tradition of going to Nephi to his Aunt Dixie's cabin. It's great. There is even a haunted cabin up in the hills- complete with broken windows, an old fashion bed, a cooler with who knows what in it, table and chairs and of course dirt and big spiders. Dixie said it is a great cabin for a honeymoon. Which Dan and I have considered, but decided to go somewhere else for our first night. A creepy cabin in the woods sounds too scary.

The Easter egg hunt was amazing. They give out plastic bugs, scissors, candy and eggs with money. All sorts of great treats. All the kids just trample through the forest looking for things that are hidden. We had a great lunch and I got to know some of his aunts and uncles and his cousins. He has quite a few too. I think I even remembered most of their names. I didn't catch all of the little kids because they moved around to much for me to get a good look at them. All and all it was a great Easter Saturday.

On Sunday my family had a little dinner with Ham and boiled eggs. I feel bad that we didn't make it outside for Logan to find the boiled eggs that we colored, but we were all just so tired from helping Ben move on Saturday morning, and even some on Friday night, and I am also still getting my stuff over to the house. Boy it's been a lot of work. I didn't realize that there is so much to do when you move. I remember Hillary saying something when she got married and bought a house. Every day for lunch she'd be going somewhere different trying to get papers signed, utilities connected and paid for,and moving and organizing her stuff. It's a lot of work.

I am worn out from all the things that Dan and I have done to get the house in order, and it's along way off. It is a good thing that I am a planter and stay in one place for a long time.

Well Happy Easter everyone.

Oh and my camera is broke so I will get these pictures posted as soon as I remember to bring the chip to work. ;)

Easter Scripture
Matt. 28: 6

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the bLord lay.

Let's not forget what Easter is all about.

Moving

I official moved some of my stuff yesterday. I've never moved before. I've always wanted my own house- a place to put my stuff - my "junk" as my dad calls it. I handled it pretty well until I pulled out some of my stuff that I had when I was a little girl-I have a little yellow ironing board. Then I teared up and started to cry so I put the ironing board back in my mom's storage room and only moved things to the house that was in my rubbermaid tubs- the things that I couldn't really see what was in them.

I have a lot of stuff. We only moved one truck load, but there is definitley going to be many more. My closet is full, the storage room still has alot of my stuff in it, and all my Harry Potter Lego's from Missy's closet, and all the stuff under my bed. Loads and loads of stuff. ;) I guess I am just a superduper collector.
Dan started moving some of his stuff the other day too. It's been kind of hard to switch places with his sister. We've had to clean out a room in the basement and shampoo the carpet just to have a place her his sisters family to start putting their stuff. All in all it seems to be going pretty well. Except they are doing all the hard lifting and I am here at work typing on my blog. Dan will probably be moved in by the end of the week.

It was nice to have Logan, Amber and her kids there to help.

This picture with Dan is of him and his niece Emma, and his nephews: Travis, Elias and Tyler.

Elias is the little guy underneath the box trying to help carry it to the house.
