Please state your name

Well it's official. I went to the Drivers license division this morning and changed my name to Princess Consuella Banananhammick. Yep it's that easy. According to a Friends episode you can change your name to whatever you want. And that's what I picked. So everyone can just call me Princess for short. :)
Ok so that's not exactly it, but boy is it a lot of work trying to get your name and all your accounts changed over. Honestly I was a little nervous because I've always been Racheal Ann Gerber and now I am Racheal Ann Blackburn. Weird. I tried to get Dan to change his name to Dan Gerber since some of our friends already have him in their cell phones as Dan Gerber, but he wouldn't.

Our new sheets

For one of our wedding presents my Uncle Max gave us a 600 count white sheet set. It is so soft. I put the sheets on yesterday morning and when I went to bed last night and started moving around I realized how thick they were. In the middle of the night I woke up and said "Man are these sheets loud". Everytime I rolled around and I am a wiggle worm at night I could hear the sheets crinkle. I don't know how Dan could sleep with all the noise.

May the gardening begin!

Well we did it. We got our garden tilled thanks to Dan and his dad. Boy it had alot of weeds that were super tall and everywhere, but it looks great now. I was able to get my pumpkins planted yesterday. I hope they work.

We also planted some tomatoes, cucumbers, a zuccihni and a cantaloupe. I've never planted that many different items before, but it's worth a shot. I guess if anything I'll just go to my local "Mom"Mart to get some extra vegetables there.

Our Wedding

Well Dan and I have been married for a whole week now. ;) It seems like it took forever for us to get everything ready and now we're married. It really turned out great. We had perfect weather for both days and lots of congratulations and compliments on how everything turned out.

Being in the Temple with Dan and our families was great. You could just feel the spirit and I just cried the whole time. It was fun to see all of our friends and family as we came out of the Temple and boy are those doors heavy. The Temple worker told us that we have to open them together at the same time. That must be the way life is - things are easier when we can work together.

Our Luncheon:
We had our luncheon at my Grandpa and Grandma's front yard. It got a bit warm, but other than that it was perfect. We had Chicken Cordon Blue, Baked Potatoes, Broccoli, many different types of desserts and some Chocolate milk for me. Everything tasted so good. It was really hard for me just to sit around and not be able to help much. So I just wondered around and took some pictures. It really was nice not to have to clean up though.

Our Reception:

The reception was in my Grandma's backyard. It was perfect. We had Gerber Daisies all over the place. Our cake looked perfect in the middle. I had fun making it too. Alot of people thought I was crazy for making the cake, but I really didn't have any problems putting it together. We had quite a turn out too. I've never seen that many people. I even heard some people didn't go through the line because it was too long. Dan and I counted later and figured that we had over 500 people attend. It's a good thing that we had plenty of food. We had lots of help with that too- taking care of a chocolate fountain is alot of work. We also served turkey swiss rolls from Coscto and some veggies with Grandpa Lloyds famous salad dressing. Yum!
It really was a wonderful 2 days of celebration. We'd like to thank all of you for the love and support and help that you gave us. It really wouldn't have turned out if you all weren't there.

You're 32 Dan! 32!

Well Dan's not quite 32 but he will be on the 17th, but since we are going to be gone on his birthday I decide that it would be fun to have a party for him while Emy and the kids were here.
Dan said that he really appreciated it. It made him feel like he actually belonged in our family. I think my family pretty much is excited that we are getting married. They gave Dan some tools for his birthday and said that they are actually Thank you gifts for taking me away. Ha Ha. My family is so clever. I guess when you've been living at home forever then maybe it's time to move out. My dad said along time ago that he was going to sell me with the tiller, but there weren't any takers. Luckily Dan came along and saved me the agony of having my dad sell me on Ebay.

Here are some pictures of Dan from his birthday. The kids had alot of fun helping him open his gifts.

Here are some great things about Dan:
1~ He's going to have an awesome wife - Me!
2~ He is a great listener and actually remembers everything that you say.
3~ Tries really hard to help others and is very compassionate and understanding
4~ Loves watching BYU Football with his dad and friends and also the basketball games
5 ~ Loves his family
6 ~ He's Tall- and Large - Good looking! :)
7 ~ Can do anything once he puts his mind to it
8 ~ Hard worker

Bridals and Wedding shots

Well it looks like things are coming together for our wedding. Yesterday Dan and I got some wedding pictures taken at the Temple since it's closed on Mondays. It turned out to be a great day. I was really worried because it said that it was going to rain, but we had the perfect lighting for the shots. My Aunt Angie and Uncle Keith took the pictures.

We also went to a park by the Temple- I love having the pond behind me. I even got to walk through the water to sit on some rocks. That's a bit tricky with a wedding dress- but so much fun. Then we went to Grandma's house for some yard shots. I was very tired once they were done, but worth it. Thanks to Keith, Angie and Emy for helping me- oh and Dan too. ;)
