This last week we learned about the many different kinds of Beetles. One of the activities that we were able to do was visiting the Bean Museum at BYU. They have a big beetle with lots of little beetles on it. It's kind of fun to see the different kinds.
As we've been reading the books about beetles we found that the beetles are lots of different colors. Gold, green, black, orange, red= so many colors. We decided to glue plastic jewels to our beetles to make them colorful
Tanner decided to do the Rhinoceros Beetle - he seems to like that one the best and kept talking to Dan about it.
Violet loves using the glue.
I had to help Violet with her's but Tanner is a glue master. And yes! There is a big mess in the kitchen behind us.
We didn't get to watch any shows about beetles. Because of the other things that were going on last week but the kids have had fun learning about the different bugs. We even had 3 little beetles fly into our car the other day.
