Summer Fun: Hutchings Museum

During Lehi Round up week Hutchings Museum has a free day. It's always nice to get into a free Museum. When I was growing up the museum didn't have as many things as it does now. It's a lot better.
Tanner and Violet thought the bird was pretty funny sticking out behind the candy counter. Behind Tanner is Lehi's old Fire engine.
I was trying to help Violet us the Telegraph machine so we could send a message. I couldn't get my arm back far enough but she seemed to have fun pushing the button.

They have a old Jail house in the museum- for kids who need a time out. Tanner didn't want to stay in there.
Tanner and Violet looking at the Indian artifacts. The both were able to make some grain out of corn.
 Playing on the drum.
 Violet loved it.
Tanner really likes to listen to the ocean in the sea shells. They have a wall with a whole bunch of them.
Tanner standing too close to the dinosaur jaws. He's going to be eaten.
Tanner took this picture of Me and Violet. by the dino head. Violet wasn't so sure of it.
Dinosaur bones - Tanner has always liked looking at them.
Playing in the sand to look for the bones
This week we are learning about caterpillars and butterflies. The museum has a wall of lots of butterflies and bugs.
I told Violet to turn around and say cheese. She thinks she needs to squat for her picture. What a cutie.
Tanner learning about the life cycling of the caterpillar to a butterfly
Looking at the rocks. The museum has a big room full of rocks and gems.
It was a fun day in the museum.
