We put Tanner in swim lessons at the AF Rec center. Last year he did the Preschool levels 1 and 2 class so this summer he got to do the #3 class. The class is only for 2 weeks for a half hour - 4 times a week. He loved it and it really helped him not be afraid to to get his face wet. Their first exercise when they got in the pool was to do bobs. Head and body all the way in the water. Tanner also really liked doing watermelon floats. That's where you grab your knees and float with your whole body in the water.
Tanner learned how to do back floats. (Tanner is the one in the back)
Practicing his front floats and blowing bubbles in the water.
Relaxing before swim class.
It took Tanner the 2 weeks to be able to do Superman's by himself. He was so excited that he could do it. It really was amazing. The day before the test he couldn't do them by himself. He is the one in the middle.
Coming back from supermans
You can see his leg when he was doing the frog kicks. He liked doing those too.
He loves swimming in the water
He always picked the yellow ring to go get. He loved swimming to it. He mostly ran to it then dove for it but he had fun.
On the last day he was able to go down the big slide. He loves the big slide. It was fun for him. He got so excited you could see him jumping up and down while he was waiting for his turn.
He passed his level 3 preschool class and now can move on to Level 1 swim class. We're proud of you Tanner! You did great.
